Makhani Murgh



Ingredients for Makhani Murgh:
For the gravy:
Cream 1 cup 
Chopped green chillies 3
Chopped onion 1
Milk 2-1/2 cup
Green cardamom powder 1 tsp
Chopped ginger 1 tsp
Chopped coriander leaves 2 tbsp
Dry ginger powder 1/2 tsp
White pepper powder 1 tsp
Kasoori methi 1 tsp
Garam masala 2 tsp
Saffron a pinch
Chopped almonds 2 tsp
Salt to taste

For the marinade:
Chicken drumsticks ½ kg
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Garlic paste 1 tsp
White pepper powder 2 tsp

For the Garam Masala:
Black cardamom 1
Green cardamoms 6-8
Piece mace 1
Cumin seeds 2 tsp
Cloves 4-5
Cinnamon 1
Black peppercorns 4-5

Method:
Make small cuts in the drumsticks of chicken. 
Marinate with ginger, garlic paste and white pepper for thirty minutes. 

For the garam masala:
Dry roast the garam masala ingredients and grind them. 

For the gravy:
Heat a pan and add cream, onions, green chillies, and cook till the onions are soft. Now add the milk and the marinated chicken, mix well. Add green cardamom powder, chopped ginger, dry ginger powder, coriander leaves, white pepper powder, kasoori methi, garam masala, a pinch of saffron. 
Let it simmer. 
Sauté well and Add salt.
 Garnish with chopped almonds and serve hot.
