Quick Spaghetti In Red Sauce



Ingredients for Quick Spaghetti In Red Sauce:
Spaghetti 1 packet
Spaghetti sauce 2 cups
Pepperoni sliced 2-3
Black olives sliced 5-6
Mushrooms sliced 8 ounce
Mozzarella cheese shredded 8 ounces

Ingredients for Spaghetti Sauce:
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Onion chopped 1
Garlic chopped 1 clove
Tomatoes (peeled & diced) 4-5
Ketchup 2 tbsp
Tomato paste 2 tbsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Dried oregano ½ tsp
Salt ¼ tsp

Method:
For Spaghetti Sauce:
Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. 
Add onion and garlic and cook 2 to 4 minutes, mix in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, ketchup, sugar, oregano and salt. 
Bring to a boil. 
Reduce heat to low and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until flavors are blended, stirring frequently.

For Spaghetti:
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. 
Cook spaghetti in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, about 12 minutes. 
Drain and transfer to a serving dish. 
Stir spaghetti sauce into pasta until coated.
Add pepperoni, olives, and mushrooms on top of spaghetti. 
Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese whilst hot.
